The CRTM will permanently check the correct operation of this special free shuttle service, through the Comprehensive Centre for Public Transport Management and Innovation (Centro Integral de Gestión e Innovación de Transporte Público, CITRAM), with on-site supervision by technicians and inspectors on the busiest days, and will be able to take the required decisions in real time. The return route will run along Avenida del Ensanche de Vallecas, Real de Arganda, Jesús del Pino, Avenida de la Democracia, Carretera Vicálvaro a Vallecas, Avenida de la Albufera, Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona and Paseo Infanta Isabel, ending at Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona. The route of the special free alternative transport service will start from Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona, continue along Avenida de la Albufera, Carretera Vicálvaro a Vallecas, Avenida de la Democracia, Calle Sierra de Guadalupe, Sierra Gador, Real de Arganda until Avenida del Ensanche de Vallecas. Once the reopening takes place, in a final phase –estimated to take around three months– Metro's night-time closing time (from 1:30 to 6 am) will also be used to complete the work. Service interruption will be required for the second. These have been undertaken at night so as not to affect the normal operation of the underground. In the first one, material was collected and the road was prepared for subsequent interventions. The modernisation work began on 3 April and is divided into several phases. Passengers will be provided with timely information on the alternatives available to them, and the number of vehicles will vary depending on the time of day and the number of people, so that the frequency of the service will be between 2 and 5 minutes. In the period in which these improvement works are being carried out, a free replacement bus shuttle service will be provided by the Empresa Municipal de Transportes (EMT), which will cover the affected stretch of over 22 kilometres on the surface. This was announced today by the acting Regional Minister of Transport, Mobility and Infrastructure, David Pérez, at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM).

On 24 June, the Community of Madrid starts work to modernise the track on Metro line 1, between Sol and Valdecarros stations, which is scheduled to reopen this coming October.
